High Level Cleaning Services

What is high level cleaning?

High level cleaning covers any surface out of reach from the floor. In most facilities that means anything above three metres.

Left uncleaned, these surfaces shed dust and debris onto the production lines, stock and equipment below. That fallout is what auditors look for. It is also why high level cleaning belongs in your scheduled cleaning regime rather than being treated as an occasional job.

What does high level cleaning include?

Our teams clean:

  • Ceilings, roof voids and exposed steelwork
  • Pipework, ducting and cable trays
  • Lighting units, fittings and high bay lamps
  • Warehouse racking and mezzanine structures
  • Ventilation and extraction systems
  • Walls and partitions above working height

High level dusting is the most common request we receive. It is also the job most often left too long between visits.

Who carries out the work?

Dedicated teams trained specifically in working at height. Every operative holds a nationally recognised certificate of competence.

That matters for your audit file. You are not relying on general cleaning staff working off a ladder, and you can evidence the competence of everyone who worked above your process.

How do you reach areas without scaffolding?

We use specialist rope access teams. Rope access reaches areas that traditionally required a fixed scaffold system to be erected first.

That removes three costs at once: the scaffold itself, the time to build and dismantle it, and the disruption of having it standing across your site. On a short cleaning task, the scaffold often costs more than the clean.

Which sectors do you clean at height for?

  • Food and beverage production sites
  • Pharmaceutical and cleanroom facilities
  • Manufacturing plants and engineering works
  • Warehouses and distribution centres
  • Offices, schools and public buildings

Food and pharmaceutical sites make up the majority of our work. In both, a documented high level cleaning regime forms part of audit readiness.

High level warehouse cleaning is the other frequent request. Racking, roof voids and high bay lighting collect dust that settles onto palletised stock. In offices and schools, the same work usually centres on ceiling voids, ductwork and light fittings.

How often should high level cleaning be carried out?

It depends on the process running underneath. Sites generating airborne dust, flour, powder or fibre usually need quarterly attention.

Lower risk environments often work to a six or twelve month cycle. We survey the site first and recommend a frequency you can justify to an auditor.

FAQs

  • Does production have to stop?

Not usually. Most high level cleaning is scheduled around planned shutdowns, weekends or existing downtime.

  • Do you provide documentation?

Yes. You receive a written record of the work completed, suitable for your audit file.

  • How do I get a quote?

Call 0121 451 3211 or use the contact form. We survey your site before quoting, so the price reflects the actual work.
